As you may be aware, the Government of Ontario has, again, ordered the closure of all non-essential businesses. The current stay-at-home order is in effect from April 8, 2021 for at least four weeks.
During this closure, ICAS will continue to receive and process incoming documentation. Please understand, however, that there will be significant delays as the office must close to all but essential staff. ICAS understands that this is frustrating, but it is beyond our control.
Applications may be submitted on-line. Some types of documents may be submitted electronically. Please contact ICAS by e-mail for details. If you are required to submit original documents, these must be submitted by mail or courier. In person submission is not available.
Please note that the current stay-at-home order is not expected to impact overall processing times. Assessment
ICAS' telephone lines will remain closed at this time. Enquiries can be sent by e-mail.
This will permit ICAS staff to process and review incoming documents and to prepare and issue Assessment Reports.
The average processing time for the Canadian Immigration Assessment Package is approximately 30 weeks from the date on which all required documentation is received in our office. This is an approximate processing time and is not a guarantee. ICAS does not offer rush services. This information will be updated as necessary based on application volumes and COVID-19 developments.
Processing time begins when all required documentation has been received in our office. These are an estimate only and rush services are not available.
The following are the current average processing times for each type of ICAS Assessment Report:
General Assessment Report (10-12 weeks)
Secondary School Comprehensive Assessment Report (10-12 weeks)
Postsecondary Comprehensive Assessment Report and Secondary and Postsecondary Comprehensive Assessment Report (25 weeks).
Please note that these estimates do not apply to assessments for immigration to Canada.
If you are applying for immigration to Canada, ICAS has a separate application process for immigration applicants who require an ECA.
